ewz.eigenverbrauch optimises the self-consumption rate of your property. This increases the return on your solar panels while reducing the amortisation time.
The residents of your property benefit from lower electricity costs, because locally produced solar power is cheaper than electricity from the public grid.
This private consumption community represents a new business model and additional income for you as the property owner. Instead of feeding solar power into the network, you can sell it to your tenants.

We offer you all the hardware you need from a single source. On request we can also look after installation of the electricity meter or provide support to your choice of electrical installation company. Once the installation is complete, we put the ZEV into operation and set up user access in the web portal for you.
Production and consumption data is continuously measured, checked for plausibility and assigned to the corresponding housing units on the basis of consumption. We can also share this data with you for billing with our optional ‘data service’.
With the ‘full service’ option, we also take care of billing and collection, as well as billing of residual electricity supply and grid usage fees. This involves no extra effort on your part, and as the owner you receive an annual credit for the yield.
As the direct point of contact for your tenants, we handle customer service and any questions or concerns they may have about ZEV Switzerland, tenant changes and other matters.

- After contacting your contact person at ewz, we check the technical and economic potential of your property.
- At the same time, we clarify the interest of your tenants and, if applicable, the neighbouring owners.
- After you have given us the appropriate order, we will take care of the establishment of the ZEV including the installation of the hardware and the setting up of the billing solution and set up the user access to the web portal for you.
- After the introduction of the new power purchase model, we will inform and assist all participants until all questions have been answered.
- In the future, ZEV consumers will purchase low-cost solar power. As the plant owner you get an annual credit from us for the solar power you’ve sold to tenants, and for the electricity you’ve fed back into the system. We pay your additional income minus a service fee directly to you.
With ewz.eigenverbrauch, we guarantee accurate billing based on individual electricity consumption thanks to smart meter technology. This enables you to optimise your own costs and at the same time enables the other ZEV members to purchase solar power – produced locally on their own roof. This electricity is not only sustainable, but also cheaper than electricity from the public grid.
With ewz.eigenverbrauch, we support your self-consumption association (ZEV) – from installation of the PV installation to optimising self-consumption of your solar power.
